BEER BOX - MARCH 23 DOCKER BREWERY

Docker began in 2006 in a small shipping container on in East Yard at Folkestone Harbour. Founders Wesley Burden and Peter Nelson brought together their shared love for two fermentation processes, craft brewing and sourdough baking, to produce high quality classic products with a modern edge. Starting with what resources were available Docker has grown into a thriving retailer, wholesaler and community providing exceptional bread and beer across East Kent.

At Docker Brew Co we strive to produce the finest craft ales, beers and naturally fermented sodas. Our beers use the highest quality UK malts, interesting contemporary yeast variants and juicy, vibrant and dank hops from UK and New World locations. Our beer draws on the brewing history of this country, bringing classic styles into the modern age to be reimagined and reinvigorated. We approach our work as continually in progress as we seek to tweak recipes and processes in order to find new ways of producing the best beers we can. Our primary in house style is a fruit-forward and dank hop profile on a light pale malt base with a soft mouthfeel and juicy yeasts to help bring out the best of the fermentation process. We believe good beer should be full of flavour with all the vibrancy that modern brewing processes and ingredients can offer.

 TASTER PACK

School Night Super Session Pale Ale // 2.5% // 440ml

This super-session pale features the tasty hop blend Cryopop by Yakima Chief. We aimed to make a beer that was extremely drinkable but would be a bit lighter so it could be enjoyed during the week. Everyone needs a break from a 6-8% beer but still wants to enjoy some fine hop flavours. We think this beer fulfils that need very nicely.

Allergens: Rye, Barley, Oats, Yeast, Gluten

Dark Matter Oatmeal Stout // 5% // 440ml

Tasty oatmeal stout made with locally grown Hythe Hops from the Hythe Hop project.  This beer is dark and smokey with a little sweetness, perfect winter drinking in front of a log burner!

About Hythe Hops

Hythe Hops are a community organisation of back-garden hop growers.  Some members managed to grow kilos and some managed grams (and some, like mine, didn't product any due to the harsh winds this year!).  But it's safe to say that everyone had fun joining in!  To find out how you can get involved search for Hythe Hops on Google or Facebook

Cans are labelled with a PLA wrap that can be home composted.

Allergens: Barley, Wheat, Yeast, Gluten

Local Lager Keller Pils // 4.5% // 440ml

A delicious unfiltered lager (yeah Stella copied Docker) made with Kentish Challenger.  Super refreshing drunk cold on a hot summer's day - of which we seem to have had a lot in 2022!

Cans are labelled with a PLA wrap that can be home composted.

Allergens: Barley, Wheat, Yeast, Gluten

SESSION PACK

Incls Taster pack plus:

Hythe Bay. Hythe Pale Ale // 4.2% // 440ml

Hythe Bay, formally Hythe Pale, is a backyard hopped pale ale brewed with whole cone Primadonna hops from Hythe Hops collaborative community farm. That is then backed up with Kentish Ernest and Bullion at flameout and Bullion, Ernest, UK Cascade and Mosaic T-90  in the dry hop making this beer a study in the ongoing conversation between the hop growing history of our county and modern hop varieties and farming practices from the new worlds.

Cans are labelled with a PLA wrap that can be home composted.

Allergens: Barley, Oats, Wheat, Yeast, Gluten

DFL American Pale Ale // 5% // 440ml

This is our flagship American Pale Ale which keeps going from strength to strength as we develop alongside it. A malty base sets the stage for a balanced interplay of UK and New World hops with Simcoe, Amarillo and UK Cascade added at flame out and dry hop, and Challenger during the boil. At 5% abv it is the perfect brew for a day out on the Kent Coast, whether down from London or not.

Cans are labelled with a PLA wrap that can be home composted.
